General Government

 

Board of Commissioners

 

Board meetings continue to be held as scheduled. As an alternative to attending Board meetings in person, the public is encouraged to view meetings via TVCTV streaming video and find meeting agendas, minutes, supporting materials and schedules at the Board’s webpage. Email contact with Board members can also be made using the Board’s webpage. We ask that members of the public who do attend Board meetings to please keep six feet distance from others in attendance as much as possible.

 

County Administrative Office

County Counsel

Assessment and Taxation

 

Over-the-counter services at the main lobby and second floor in the Charles D. Cameron Public Services Building are open effective June 1. The public is encouraged to contact the Assessment and Taxation Department through the department’s webpage or by calling 503-846-8741.

 

County Auditor

 

The Office of the County Auditor is closed to drop-in visits. Most staff are working remotely.  As an alternative to visiting the Auditor’s Office or to make an appointment, the public is encouraged to email the County Auditor at John_Hutzler@co.washington.or.us or leave voice mail at 503-846-8798.

 

Elections

Over-the-counter services at the Elections Office on Aloclek Drive in Hillsboro are now available. The public is also encouraged to contact the Elections Office through email to elections@co.washington.or.us or by calling 503-846-5800.

 

Emergency Management

 

The Emergency Management office is closed and assisting the County's emergency management center (EOC) in its response to COVID-19. For life-threatening emergencies, call Emergency Dispatch at 9-1-1.

 

Support Services

Justice Court

 

The Justice Court is open Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m., but public health requirements will be in effect and remote access is encouraged.

Juvenile

The Juvenile Department encourages all people to only come in for scheduled appointments and call prior to coming to the Juvenile Services building. The Juvenile Court will prioritize telephonic or virtual hearings. Classes and community service continue to be cancelled until further notice. Please wear facial coverings when you come to the office, and wash your hands when you come in. We care about our community’s health and will continue to support implementation of recommended protocols by the Governor and Public Health. 

Please DO NOT come to a scheduled court hearing if you are ill or exhibiting cold symptoms. The Court will either reschedule your hearing or will allow you to appear by phone if you are ill. Work with your attorney, your Department of Human Services connection or Juvenile Counselor to set up telephonic hearings ahead of time. All other appointments with Juvenile Department staff should be conducted via telephone. Our front desk number is 503-846-8861.

Law Library

 

Starting June 8, the Law Library will offer limited in-person services by appointment when help cannot be provided remotely. Details will be added to our Virtual Information Desk; appointments cannot be made the same day and no walk-ins will be allowed. Building Services

 

The Department of Land Use and Transportation continues to provide most services remotely - online, by phone or via U.S. Mail.

Though our lobbies are opening June 3, we urge all customers to continue to conduct business remotely whenever possible to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19. 

Customers entering lobbies will be asked to provide their contact information for contact-tracing purposes. Customers will also be asked to practice physical distancing (at least six feet of separation), consider wearing a facial coverings and to adhere to restrictions on occupancy limits.

Animal Services and the Bonnie Hays Animal Shelter will continue to offer critical services and encourage the public to use online services where possible, only coming to the shelter in person if necessary. Developmental Disabilities

 

The Developmental Disabilities office is closed until further notice. Documents may be mailed to 5240 NE Elam Young Young Parkway, MS 66A, Hillsboro, OR 97124. As an alternative to visiting the Developmental Disabilities on Elam Young Parkway in Hillsboro, the public is encouraged toemail through the Developmental Disabilities webpage or call 503-846-3150.

 

Disability, Aging and Veteran Services

 

The lobby for Disability, Aging and Veteran Services (DAVS) remains closed to help prevent the spread of illness and to protect those at highest risk of becoming severely ill. DAVS will be conducting business by email through the DAVS webpage or by calling 503-846-3060.

 

 

Environmental Health

Emergency Medical Services

Hawthorn Walk-in Center

The Hawthorn Walk-in Center is closed until further notice. Phone and video crisis supports are available. Please call the crisis line at 503-291-9111 to access services. The crisis line will work with you to determine the best option for response. This may include phone support to address your concerns.

 

Housing Services

 

Housing Services/Housing Authority of Washington County will continue to provide all services to clients by appointment only. The Housing Services lobby will be limited to dropping off documents or to clients who have an appointment. A secured drop box is also available on the Lincoln Street entrance in Hillsboro. Mental Health and Addictions Services

 

Mental Health and Addictions Services is closed until further notice. Staff continue to work remotely. The public is encouraged to email through the Mental Health Services webpage or call 503-846-4528.

Women, Infants and Children (WIC) is offering alternative appointment options to families. Instead of visiting WIC clinics in Beaverton, Hillsboro or Tigard, please email wic@co.washington.or.us or call 503-846-3555.

Henry Hagg Lake/Scoggins Valley Park

 

Scoggins Valley Park is open sunrise to sunset (day use only). The Park’s Main Office is operating from 8 a.m. through 5 p.m., Monday through Friday (Closed 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. for lunch). Allowed activities include fishing, boating, walking, biking and running and others that do not involve close contact with non‐household members and where six feet of physical distancing between people can be achieved. Some park amenities remain CLOSED such as playgrounds and sport courts. Facilities that are designed to facilitate large gatherings or close contact with others are still CLOSED including playgrounds, sport courts, community centers and some restrooms. For more information, please call 503-846-7000.

 

Metzger Park

 

Metzger Park remains open for day use. The Patricia D. Whiting Hall at Metzger Park is closed for events until further notice. Facilities that are designed to facilitate large gatherings or close contact with others are still CLOSED including playgrounds, sport courts, community centers and some restrooms. Westside Commons/Fair Complex
