Services at the Hawthorn Walk-in Center include assessment; crisis counseling and education regarding mental health and addiction; peer support; and connection to treatment providers and other social services. It might be possible to accomplish all of this in one visit, or we may ask you to come back for a follow-up.
All ages are welcome at the center. A special family waiting area is available for young children or youth. Larger counseling rooms can accommodate family and friend groupings.
There is no out-of-pocket cost for seeking help at the center. If you have insurance, we may bill for the service. If you are uninsured, there is no cost.
All conversations are confidential. If you are seeing a counselor or medical provider, we will ask if you are willing to sign a release of information document so we can coordinate your care with them.
The center is professionally staffed by Lifeworks NW. Compassionate assistance is provided by counselors and trained peers who have lived experience with mental health challenges and/or addiction.
