David Hill Extension & Verboort-Purdin / OR 47
David Hill Road extension and roundabout
In 2012, David Hill Road was extended from Brooke Street to 700 feet to the east, through existing wetlands (see phase 1 project page).
Phase 2 further extends David Hill Road from where Phase 1 ended to OR 47. The roadway will match up to the existing facility, which includes one travel lane in each direction, bike lanes, planter strips, sidewalk along the south side of the road and a center median. The project will also construct a roundabout where the David Hill Road extension connects to OR 47.
Verboort-Purdin/OR 47 roundabout
In addition to the David Hill Road extension project, a roundabout has been constructed at the Verboort-Purdin Road and OR 47 intersection. Washington County is partnering with the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) to construct that project.
Washington County staff are managing the design and construction for both projects.
The David Hill Road extension project is funded through phase 3d of the County's Major Streets Transportation Improvement Program (MSTIP).
