Gales Creek Road bridge over Gales Creek

The existing bridge on Gales Creek Road over Gales Creek, located 500 feet south of Old Wilson River Road, is structurally deficient (showing signs of decay) and functionally obsolete (very narrow).

This project will replace the existing bridge with a longer wider structure that will be built above the flood plain and widened to two 12-foot wide travel lanes with shoulders to accommodate cyclists and occasional farm equipment.

This $2.9 million project is funded through phase 3d of the Major Streets Transportation Improvement Program (MSTIP). The total project cost includes the estimated cost of design, right-of-way and construction and is subject to change.
